  • Gastric Pull-Up

  • Using part of the stomach to replace the swallowing tube when it has been removed, usually due to cancer.

  • Gastroesophageal Reflux

  • Backup of fluid from the stomach into the swallowing tube causing heartburn and possible long-term damage to the swallowing tube. Also called gastroesophageal reflux disease.

  • Gastrostomy

  • A tube that goes directly into the stomach through the skin of the abdomen that allows nutritious fluid to be given to a person who is unable to eat enough food to keep them healthy.

  • GE Reflux

  • Gastroesophageal reflux.

  • GERD

  • Gastroesophageal reflux disease.

  • Gustation

  • The act or sensation of tasting.
